EXECUTIVE MENTOR

  • past

    PAST

I have been an executive mentor in the areas of personal and organizational development since 1976. Since that time, I have worked with over 500 senior executives and approximately 5,000 team members.

  • present

    PRESENT

My starting questions are always the same, whether I ask them in person or over the phone:

    1. On a scale of 1 to 10, how are you doing personally today?
    2. How can I be of the greatest help to you day?

We talk confidentially about anything in your personal life or in your organizational life.
Phone or Zoom mentoring are always available to you, an hour at a time.
No contracts or retainers required of you.

Currently I am working with one or two new clients per year. Can this include you and your team?

A MENTORING STYLE TO FIT YOUR NEEDS

IN PERSON (BY THE DAY) MENTORING Do you need a mentor with more than four decades of experience to help you and your organization be all that it can be?

Mentoring is a relationship in which a mentor helps a protégé reach their God-given potential. The mentoring relationship is focused by two very simple but profound questions:

  • What are your plans?
  • How can I help?

Whether I meet with clients in person or on the phone, I always ask the same two questions:

  1. On a scale of 1 to 10 how are you doing personally today?
  2. How can I be of the greatest help to you today, organizationally?

Then I bring the experience I have gained from consulting with more than 500 organizations (churches, nonprofits, for-profit corporations, government agencies), meeting with approximately 5,000 executives. I help provide perspective to the situation to help you identify the next steps you can take.

If you are ready for this next level of executive mentoring, please fill in the information to the right so I can answer any of your additional questions.

PHONE (BY THE HOUR) MENTORING

I bring all the experience, expertise, clarity and care of my in-person mentoring to my mentoring by phone, in case you prefer quick mentoring sessions over the phone. It can be very difficult to meet for a day each month in person. An hour-long session over the phone or Zoom each month is often more realistic.

In the next year, chances are about 100% there will be at least one time per month when a confidential one-hour phone, Skype, or Zoom call with a trusted, objective mentor with consulting and boardroom experience would help bring clarity to your current situation or pressure.  It would be “worth its weight in gold” to you!  Having an hour to help you prepare for a high-pressure deadline can help you dramatically reduce the stress you are feeling as you prepare.

At the beginning of each month, I’ll send you a very short email specifying which three to four days work the best for my schedule that month. Ideally, your crazy schedule can match my crazy schedule.

On the phone there are no out-of-pocket expenses (flights, hotels, taxis, meals)! One hour a month for a full year on the phone is approximately the same number of dollars as one full-day consultation in person — expenses included.

If you are ready to take the next step in phone mentoring, just fill out the information to the right to ask any additional questions you may have.
