WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?

WHAT I WISH PETER DRUCKER HAD OFFERED IN 1976

The Consulting Institute is precisely what I wish Dr. Peter Drucker had o? ered when I was getting started as a consultant back in 1976. I wished I had someone with 30 years of experience to help me navigate my “trial and error” phase of getting started as a consultant.

Later I did spend 2 days – about leadership in general not “how to be a consultant” – in a retreat center with Peter and a few other senior executives. It was an intense time of learning, re-evaluating, and focusing. I have referenced my time with Peter to friends / clients / strangers 100’s of times in the past 25 years. It was a water shed point in my professional career.

It is my hope that the Consulting Institute will not only be a water shed event of learning, re-evaluating, and focusing for you ... but, it will also be a major accelerator for your consulting career as well. I will be giving you the very best I know about consulting after 30+ years of consulting.

This will be a week of my trading 30+ years of experience for the “trial and error” phase of your consulting career.

EXECUTIVE MENTOR

Since 1976 I have consulted with over 500 clients / senior executives. I have spent hours with over 5,000 executive sta? members. My best estimate is that I have spent over 50,000 hours behind closed doors / and emotional defense systems.

From this 30 plus years of experience I have distilled out the essence and committed them to over 35 tools (books / tapes / papers) to bring Clarity and Con?dence in the areas of Leadership / Management / Life.

Each of these days with clients and each of these tools have had one common focus ... “Strengthening Christian Leaders World Wide” ... which is our dream statement. And, this is the focus of the Consulting Institute as well. The Institute is the very best insights I’ve learned about consulting over the past 30+ years to help accelerate your consulting career!

EXPERIENCE

To facilitate our time together we will be staying at a 4 star hotel. A great place to relax and grow. There will be ample time for you ask each and every one of your questions about how consulting / leadership / organizational development works in the “real world”!

Some learn far better by Interaction / Role Play / Discussions than by reading a book. If you have felt my books / tapes are helpful ... this should be like a book on steroids!

At meals and breaks there will also be plenty of 1:1 with Bobb to ask personal questions.

LIFE LONG NETWORK

Some executives have alumni from Harvard, Cambridge, or Yale to call on. You will now have the fellow graduates of the Consulting Institute ... in your life long Rolodex!

TAKE AWAY

With these hundreds of tools your consulting confidence will grow as you know exactly what to do, to say, to give in hundreds of client situations.

With this increased consulting confidence you will also go home with an increased ability to earn significant income / supplements – build an in--house consulting team – help others – give back / be a far better board member.

You will also take home a class picture – My picture of my time with Peter and the class still hangs proudly on the wall of my office. This picture will be a life long reminder of the life long friends you will make at the Institute.

You will also take hundreds of pictures home in your memory.
